Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
Isn't Sonic Core supposed to have a record of all the software I've purchased when it was Creamware?

If you have an old file called "Scope.rgy" in a backup copy of your C:\Scope directory stashed somewhere.... You can read those keys in using the Scope interface...

Could you explain your problem in a bit more detail. Who have you contacted? Ralf is the man best suited to deal with this stuff.
Re: Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
they should know about them all, yes. but I also noticed that sometimes information might get lost during a specific process, and it might be worth re-requesting your keyfile.
I for one had the issue recently during a key transfer to one of my cards. I got a keyfile (.rgy) back with less keys than before (including the 3 new ones). even (or should I say better: especially) keys for software bought recently via the soniccore shop and other 3rd party were missing. nothing a merge of my old .rgy with the new one wouldn't fix, but I somehow wondered if it was time to ask ralf for a complete .skf for all of my cards. just in case...
(well, that's still on my list)

I sent my Power Pulsar card in for repair, since it was corrupting its keys or its own serial number - something like that.
They sent back the repaired card with a new serial number. And I had to ask them for a key file. When Ralf sent it to me, it was a shorter list of software than the keyfile he sent me before the repair. Now he wants me to send him an earlier key file - ? Hence my question - don't they know what I own?
Ralf did a lot of work getting me key files, because my card had that problem intermittantly since I got it, in 2003 or 2004. The ones he sends me aren't always the same.
By the way, Sonic Core, you can save yourself a lot of work by putting in more than one line per email, when a customer wants help. If you automatically put in things like the time-frame for repair, the methods of payment you take, the tracking number, maybe the rgy file, you can beat the customer service of other companies without much effort.

Re: Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
the keys are attached to the hardware and thus it is very safe (you won't find any cracks for creamware boards
) but a bit more complicated when transfering and doing stuff like that. The scope.rgy or allkey file must be in a safe place. In your case, as the HW serial has changed, things are a bit more complicated though ...

Re: Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
really. This is something that really makes me wondering... Wen Creamware turned Sonic Core they pulled out the Online area of the website. They should keep it going again. In the good old Creamware days. i just logged in and all my keys were there...
Re: Sonic Core Doesn't Know what my Software Keys are?
actually the "My Page" was taken offline before, due to more frequent hacking or intrusion attempts which they had no manpower to circumvent at that time (other than pulling the plug).rafafredd wrote:Wen Creamware turned Sonic Core they pulled out the Online area of the website.
I liked that area, too. but there is still no manpower available right now to re-enable it. nevertheless I still hope it will be back sooner or (most probably) later. They should keep it going again. In the good old Creamware days. i just logged in and all my keys were there...

Some changes may be due to the way bundles changed between software versions. I have several bundles that came from different versions that overlap to a very large degree (propack, mix&master, synth&sampler etc).
Also please note that any keys that were NOT purchased through the CW/SC site will not be on record with them.

No, it's still there.
When I made it at first it had a nice liquidity and came in around 14k filesize. Of course current board settings only allowed 9k so I had to do some processing to get it to fit and ran out of time that evening. So after I saw someone actually noticed (you:stardust) it occured to me I ought to make it less offensive now that it was 'herky jerky' instead of subtle liquidity.
So it's still there but I made it more...ambient.

Yes that's the problem, I'm down to about 12 frames total. I was able to fit 30 frames into 14k with a bit of 'lossy' compression & 64 colors, to get to 9k I had to drop more than half of the frames and reduce color palette more to 32 colors. It wasn't really meant to be anything major, I realized my avatar was larger than most others here and didn't want to be overly assuming, so went to make it smaller in 'stature'. Got sort of distracted beyond that and this was the result I guess! Anyway I think we're way OT, this has little to do with Software Keys
