Re: soniccore site down!!!
thanks for the credits, tom, but it wasn't actually me (this time) who reported that (but I also noted it).
it seems just the main entry page is set to "unavailable" while most if not all subpages are still there.
the ftp servers are also down from time to time. one is password protected right now.
one could assume there is some big change going on, but nobody knows, and as long as there is nothing official, just keep calm

When their site is down, it usually means they're changing something.

RE: The Summer Special...
Can someone recommend the DAS Vintage EQ bundle please? Then, I will buy it.
Unless, of course, anyone can tell me that the API emulation is insanely good (as good/better than the Waves version?), because then I'll buy that instead.
Unless, of course, someone can tell me that I need them all.
Then I'll buy them all! And I'll feel good about supporting SC and third-party developers as well!

Re: soniccore site down!!!
i think they're unusually good, and a bargain...
Re: soniccore site down!!!
I love more than one of their EQ's.
And Yes, they are a Sore Dick Deal.
The DAS DynaPara is capable of adding extra quality to any sampled content.

Re: soniccore site down!!!
But the summer specials only last until mid-July! I want to buy all those plugins for Xite, but by then it will be too late!!
Re: soniccore site down!!!
what about a Body Of Ralf Diary to fill the time towards XITE and SCP5 delivery?stardust wrote:And the John bowen chronicles to fill the time towards Solaris delivery ...
starting with:
"...dear diary,
today I returned to carving those ASB sidepanels again. man, I've had it so much!
they won't let me take a look at the new tray icon. all that secretiveness about it makes me sick...
we ran out of black paint again. maybe we have to issue the first bunch of XITEs in white, then.
now just some support emails before I go to bed. ah, that braincell again. no, there is no such thing as a floating plugin license. get it?
any news on PZ? well, they noticed we changed the front page of our site...
come on kylie, we won't upload scp5 to the ftp by accident. we know you're watching
*yawn*
*shutdown* "

I dont know are you trying to be funny or what? No really? Can you have your own opinion? If i tell you "go and jump in front of train" will you do it for me? I mean you are sounding like that.chriskorff wrote:RE: The Summer Special...

Of course there is nothing wrong in supporting DAS or SC overall, if you like this, but in my very honest opinion your best option/choice is to download demos and make your own decision. We are all full of subjective opinions and we all have different approach on idea what to recommend and what not. For example (and since you are asking) any DAS EQ does not do anything useful to me. That does not mean they are bad all in all, that just mean they are not doing anything special to my ear or something i can not achieve already with scope stock FX. But that is my experience. Also i have full right to express my opinion as long as i keep it in subjective domain. I will tell you again IMVHO musician (be it amateur or pro) should make decision by itself. Download that demo, give it some time, test it etc. then make decision is it worth (it is giving you something new which you did not have before, using that plugin is giving you great results etc.) for you or not?!
Make your own sound signature! Dont be just like "but everyone else use that plugin". Of course famous plugins did not became famous because they are fancy etc., but because they are musical and usable. But still that does not mean that automatically that same fancy plugins are best for you and your style.
Luckily for you there is demo option. Go and try!

Re: soniccore site down!!!
There seems to be quite a few little changes made to the website. I don't remember seeing that many audioclips they have now. Under the sub-category Synths&Samplers pack there seems to be more audioclips. And the XITE-1 description seems to be increased, now theres a system requirements list and a more complete list of included plugins. I don't remember those things from before so i believe they just been added. Either way it's good to see SonicCore showcase the Platform better then before, hope they continue further with stuff like this.
