i use gigabye mobo 965 chipset. dq6mobo
the settings of pci latency in bios are 32,64 and 128.
is there a real difference??
more.. "128" means more pci clocks to the pci creamware cards but also less speed?
pci latency
if it works, it works.
i set it to 96, or 128. usually it makes little difference in the real world, especailly if the motherboard is well designed(yours is). in win98 setting the latency properly ensured glitch free behavior, xp seems to be less picky...
leave it in the default setting. if you experience any quirky behavior in the card, you can set it higher.

Re: pci latency
This is also the default latency that devices will get, so mostly what you're doing is setting the PCI latency for things like USB devices where default drivers are in use. The real hogs on modern systems are 3rd party SATA/RAID controllers and video cards, and the latency for these will always be set by the vendor's drivers. There are a number of tools to override this as well, but the 'need' on modern systems isn't severe unless you're in need of adding a final few extra tracks to an already loaded mix.
