Now that's looking much classier than the all-black rack design.

very nice Ralf....

now the people who criticised the missing z-link can be happy too.

:D

hope everything works fine @ SC.

Best wishes to the team and a great hardware product launch.

The release of the XITE-1 is an historical event in the Creamware/Soniccore history. (the original idea but almost 100 times improved)

One question: Does it have active or passive cooling?

I see no fan...

Also, even the 15DSP Scope cards are passively cooled, and I'm guessing that newer-generation DSPs have been made to work faster at similar nominal temperatures (take modern CPUs, for example), so that's what I reckon has happened.

I don't either. But I also do not see the side panels. Ie. the old A16 (non ultra) had a 40 mm fan on the side.

Looks fabulous, congratulations!

But still it is a computer generated graphics and not the "real" thing? Am I missing something, or when will it be launched?

AFAIK Creamware didn't do pre-amps, it would seem logical to me SC sticks to the same logic and concentrate on core business. I don't see any controls for it on the unit either.

A proper pre-amp would increase the cost of XITE, and as with previous DSP products, you have the option of choosing your own unit. Be it a 100eu Behnringer mixer with built-in pre's or some Apogee in the same price category than XITE. That's up to you, depending on budget and analog recording habits...

Hey Ralf, looks great, that box! 8)

i think Gordon was referring to the in-built mic pre-amps - there's two mic inputs there, they'll need some form of pre-amp.
