A question about S/TDM connections.And cables.
A question about S/TDM connections.And cables.
So lets assume i have 2 pulsar1 and 1 pulsar2 we know that using 1 cable for this is rather stressy due to the shifted connection plates.Now...what i am asking is:Could i just put the p2 in the middle pci slot and connect the upper p1 with the first and last connector on the cable to the first s/tdm of the p2 and the lower p1 with the first and last connector to the second s/tdm of the p2? Curious if anybody has tested this before. That would solve my needs to get some rubberbands or cable strips to keep the connector in place....

As I recall, the manual says that at least one cable has to connect all three cards at once. You can't have one cable connect cards 1 and 2 and another cable connect cards 2 and 3.

Just carefully (very carefully!!) twist the cable into the right shape.Fluxpod wrote:So lets assume i have 2 pulsar1 and 1 pulsar2 we know that using 1 cable for this is rather stressy due to the shifted connection plates.
Yes i was rtfm and tfm made it pretty clear..just sucks to put stripes over the card and the s/tdm cable to keep it in place..i did it before and i thought i could trick around it but..well ...I wish they would offer a cable with more space as i cant be arsed to make one myself....
Will work i suppose.
