So it'll go up to 11. One more than 10.

It was stated quite clearly at Messe - you cannot combine the old cards with the XITE box, but you will be able to transfer your registration keys over to the new box.

Thanks John for the clarification - so when I get the xcite box I'll sell the scope pro and get the software transferred over!

The summing question I was getting at was related to this previous post:

"yes and no because as now users have an option to assign devices to particular dsps if they want to, so it can be useful to have headroom. Also, the synths used in the picture of the dsp meter are pretty light ones, for which 8 voices is not impossible at all on Scope already. For mixing, you can have a lot of dynamic effects, eqs etc active on all channels. "

I'll assume that this post is correct and that manual assignment is "an option", and that the Xite-1 will automatically dynamically allocate DSP to the project as you build it.

You can TRANSFER or SHARE your plugins licence from cards to Xite?
This question because if S|C allow only transfer we all got the same problem that I have with my 2 separate systems:

http://www.planetz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic ... ea7480ed7c

My worry is for transfer...
So, Hubrid & Shroomz, this is not a "personal-isolate" problem and not a fact of adding more DSP to Xite, but remain full owner of my regular licence without weird limitations.

You can say that if U need, in harware domain, a second compressor U must buy a second compressor... yes, shure, but where is also the software advantage? (Apple & oranges, the hardware is based on the cost of production, the software on the use of the license)
Even Adobe (the "nazi" of licence concepts) allows to install my own license at least on two computers.

So the UAD way seems to me the right policy about this problem: referred to the consumer and not to the card!
Or at least one 50% of discount for the buy of second licence of the same plugins!!! Just like a sort of "update".

I.e. John Bowen sell to me his ProOne as UPDATE for my CW/ProTone licence, and I find this policy very very clever and honest to the customer. (Thanks a lot John :) )

I'm sayng something complete wrong? :-?
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

i don't think so, i think it's just not many people need this and i for one cannot imagine having an XITE and Scope and using plugs between them, i'd just go wholly XITE and the Scope cards would collect dust.

Until S|C releases details of what software is included with XITE, this is all just speculation. We've been told that license transfer will be possible. That doesn't mean you will have to empty your scope board of all it's plugins. My GUESS is that it will mainly be 3rd party plugins sold on the S|C shop which will be affected by this. So there may be a handful of plugins which the average user will have to choose between XITE, Scope or both. It's not the end of the world. Your Scope card will not be rendered useless and like I said before, it's all just speculation ATM, so it's not worth getting into a heated debate over.

Anyway, to return on the topic, I would like quite a lot a stereo insert version and splittable between simulation of cabinet and simulation of ampification of Dynatube.
I really miss a good speaker simulation in Scope.
Anyone can reccomend one if if I had lost a similar device in PlanetZ?
I konw Mehdi's Frog but I find it hard to use because it lacks realistic and quick presets..

Hi M,

Celmo has one which I use sometimes. Does the trick. Simple and FXctive.

No offense, but it's not exactly as realistic as the Dynatube simulations.

With the SDK you can easily make some "speaker-boxes", but I would really like a nice GUI for this, and I am not exactly up to the task SDK-wise.

Speaking of SDK,

I hope SC gives all who buy the XITE-1 the ability to use lower level programming and make our own little routing devices, etc.

Like a 5.1 to stereo module, or a mono to stereo module, just little shit like that.

Seriously thinking of getting Xite, but I can't see myself using it with it's I/O options in my studio setup.

S/C please make a Z-Link version. :)
I have 2 A16's please don't tell me I have to use them with adat at 24, 48.000 with Xite., (yes I know about Smux but gives you have the I/O's)

I'm concerned about the xites not having zlink does this mean zlink is now obsolete and can only be used with our old cards? :(

Zlink is a great Idea. Please implement this in your new hardware,,,,,

Hope I made my point. :)

if the XITE had all the i/o options of three cards, at least, for me it would be perfect.
