Hello ALL!

I still have a trouble with playing on MIDI-Keyboard with LunaII v.3.0.1.

Please, tell me, how much devices must to be visible in the following place...

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Multimedia/Devices/MIDI Devices and Instruments/MIDI for CreamwareDSP-Board

I have just "Luna MIDI Out 1" and "Luna MIDI Out 2" there(by default settings)!

Is it OK? Or it must be more devices in that path? I mean, "MIDI Devices and Instruments/MIDI for CreamwareDSP-Board".
May be something like "Luna MIDI In 1" and so on must to be there?

May be that is the problem why Luna doesn't receive midi_signal from Keyboard?

and else...

Please, who can prompt, what is the wire/pin layout of the Luna's "5PIN_DIN->MINI_DIN" adapter connector? Especially "5PIN_DIN" side.

And, who knows, what's the jumper near the Z-Link connector(internal side) on Luna?

Please, HELP!

Thanks a lot!

I really don't think the problem is were you search it right now...

Go into the Luna project, and tell us how it is routed, mine is :

Luna Midi Source -> Sequencer Midi Dest 1
Sequencer Midi Source 1 -> to whatever devices you need to play with, or to no devices at all if you want to play VST instruments in Logic or Cubase, for example...

Check in the Project Topic and find a 'default working luna project' or something like that to have a look.

In my Project MIDI connection is the same...

"Luna Midi Source -> Sequencer Midi Dest 1"
- directly, not using mixer.

I don't use any external devices(only Midi-keyboard), so "Sequencer Midi Source 1" is not connected.

...and, when i connect "MIDI Monitor" module to the "Luna Midi Source",
i get just one line in it's(midi_monitor) window while playing the keys:
______________________________
MIDI Msg. Event

B07800 All Sounds Off
______________________________

It seems, that Luna doesn't receive any midi_messages... ???

May be the cable(i had made it by myself), which connects
midi-keyboard to the "5PIN_DIN->MINI_DIN" cable and then
to the Luna is incorrect?
1) Please, tell me! What is the correct MIDI_PIN_LAYOUT must to be
and what is the Voltage_level? My be the keyboard is broken...

Although, the keyboard worked good with this cable and with
"5PIN_DIN->Joystick" adaptor+Fiji sound card.

Thanx...

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pulsar-scope/files/

there is yer pinout diagram (PulsarNormal.jpg
)...it isn't expressly for a luna II but i would be fairly sure that the connectors are the same throught all the cw cards. having said this i am NOT in any way responsible for if your card gets fried, because this is the wrong pin out, or whatever. get in contact with creamware if you want to know for sure.

you may need to register with yahoo, and "subscribe" to the list to get access to the file.

bearing this, why not just pick up a new midi cable?

...also you might check if you get any midi in at all, try using a shareware program that monitors the input midi stream. I've used one when i had similar problems, just cabt remember the name...

Hi ALL.

Thanks a lot for help!!!

The problem has resolved. It's OK now!
The problem was the incorrect soldered cable.

I found the correct scheme at http://www.hardwarebook.net

Thanx...
