Well depends upon what you're compressing. Assuming it's a buss of lots of different frequencies then it would have to be OptiMaster.

Also if you're bussing drums, Transient Designer is very good, although obviously not a compressor.

For the cleaner sound i like DAS-2A and another i'm soon about to get wich is wolf's kompressor. You may want to demo both, i love them. Vinco is nice to but a bit stronger personality then the first two (Pleasant tho). All three are really nice quality to me. Lastly i agree with previous poster about Transient Designer, really can add punch and snap.

You'd be mad not to try JuAnCo by MCCY & Wolf's 'Kompressor' of which there's a demo.

Thanks for all the tips. I am looking for a master buss compressor. Something to put right at the end of the chain. I have a great native buss compressor but I am trying to avoid bringing everything back into the sequencer for monitoring.

EDIT.. I can't find any links for software by MCCY. My budget is very tight at the moment so free sounds great. Anyone have a link or the software that they would be willing to email me?

Hi Mike. The STW Mastering Comp isn't exactly cheap ($149), but it's one of the best.
