well, it's just some clone, and SE gear is nothing to brag about either. completely putting aside the fanatic collectors value of the original moog, for what you actually get, even 500$ is anything but a bargain by today's standards...
I don't see why people are still so crazy about that thingwhile there's so many other and imho much much cooler toys to play with.

sure, strats and les pauls suck too!
mellotrons are stupid and heavy!
come to think of it, pianos are just too limited to make any kind of interesting sound!
vibraphones are for suckers!
violins are boring.
trumpets are sooo yesterday!
erhus are antique chinese!
zithers are for old germans!
don't even get me started on flutes, kalimbas, accordians and drumsets!
i don't see how anyone can make music with any of those things!
