i have installed the scope software many times before.. but this time was new!
after the install a new program popped up! i think its called "in/out enabler"
i'm not complaining.. everything seems to work fine.. but do you know what this is?
also: the scope software seems to randomly pick names for the scope directory.. sometimes its under scope 4.5, sometimes scope_4_5 etc..
the i/o enabler is for setting up xtc i/o availablity. it's normally in the scope folder. it's also in the start/program/scope/xtc enabler directory....
yeah, it's weird how you don't always see it during an install. i've seen it come up on an install just once. i think it's part of the xtc card routine(a version of scope card on a 6sp expander w/ xtc software only). as far as the naming thing goes, i haven't noticed that before...
and whats the point of it popping up anyway?? you set up the xtcproject manually no matter what..
I guess creamware hadn't finished, and hadnt decided if they wanted to support xtc mode or not, before they released it..
i have had even more strange behaviour!:
I had put in a new card, and experimented with different pci slots, and suddenly, when the machine booted up and sfp started, the normal live bar showed up *INSIDE* the sfp program! not in a separate window, but inside it, just like a normal device!!, and so did the scope file explorer...
well well... programmers..
is there such a thing as a virtual excorcist? cause i might need one for the ghost in my machine!
no.... its working fine now:) and i'm awaitingfor the mailman to come with my new (second hand)15 dsp card any time soon!
