I have recommend a friend this board. He buyed an Athlon 1800XP. But this set up seems not to be functional.
Is it possible to run a Athlon1800XP on the Asus A7M 266?
Unless this set up shouldn´t work, what can I do? Could I recommend a BIOS update for this board?
Thanks for any help
Stefan
Is the Asus A7M 266 compatible with the Athlon XP?

it works great, but as always it needs to be set up perfect to work 100%, latest bios (1006) is a basic requirement.

Although I use the A7m266 very sucessfully whith lots of TW reverbs, I get the impression that the performance of the "761" based boards became weaker.... Lately I hear of problems whith the "761" chipset which are realated to Pci bandwidth and general compatibility. Is it possible there´s something like a new revision that causes these problems?? Please don´t anyone get me wrong, I´m a real "761" fan!
