Yeah, I've been thinking about Osiris for a while now, but there's just no way I can afford it in the near future. I wonder how it compares to the Algorithmix Sound Laundry suite of plugs? Sound Laundry is much less pricey, but then it's not for Scope, so I guess that's understandable from a certain point of view.MCCY wrote:P.S. blowing money... I damn want to have Algorithmix, but I still hesitate with that price although knowing that theire worth every cent!!!! I'd say: Blow your money on Osiris & I bet you'll be very happy over christmas!!

Well, thank you all!!!
I'd go for sure for MCCY's plugs, no doubt about it.
And I'll demo everything I can before blowin' away my christmas budget... damn! Why do I work in a small studio an not in a big and whealty venue?
Ok ok... that's life
I'll find the way to spend the money... which is rather easier than making money!!!

I've had a talk on the phone with the developer when Osiris was released for SFP, asking him almost the same question, as Algorithmix also has a couple of more expensive products...<Shroomz> wrote:... It's significantly better than their budget line, but you don't get the multi-k Euro high-end packs either
I processed one of the example files (vinyl restoration) with the TripleDat version of Osiris. The DSP version performed better, but not dramatically.
Which is exactly what I was told before - he said the methods for clicks and crackle removal hadn't changed much over the years, but they made real progress in the hiss and noise domain.
cheers, Tom
