Scope + A16 Ultra 16in and 16out simultaneously possible?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Hi, I'm considering buying a second hand Scope card and will want to get the A16 Ultra to use in conjuntion with it as a digital mixer.

Is it possible to use the 16 inputs and outputs simultaneously. ie, can I bring in 16 channels of audio, apply effects in realtime and output the 16 resulting channels live.

It suggests on the Creamware site that each adat connection provides 8 channels of audio. Im guessing this is one way? In which case, 2 adat connections gives 16 channels in OR out, but not both ways simultaneously.

So I thought maybe to buy the ZLink card could provide enough but that only has 2 zlink + 1 adat, still only 16 in + 8 out.

Anyone managed such a configuration?

thanks, Tom

All Pulsars & Scopes with I/O can accept A16 Ultra, all via ADAT (there are 2xADAT inputs AND outputs for 16 channels both ways). Only the zlink plate is different, it has 2xzlink ports (each zlink is 8in/8out), and one adat port. In the case of the zlink I/O plate, you would use both zlink connectors for 16 channels - in the case of all other I/O plates, you would use 4 ADAT cables - 1 cable for each 8 channels in, and out.

apply effects in realtime and output the 16 resulting channels live.

And this is no problem, one of the highlights of the Creamware DSP system!

Hi there,

Ahh, I didnt realise that 2 adat connections meant 2 in and 2 out. So Ill just need 4 cables and ill be away. Great, thanks for that.

Hey, I checked out the domain on your post and came across the Articles - Creamware optimisation + faq. Is there any way of getting access to this without purchasing from the site? I live in the UK and it makes more sense to buy my kit here. I would be prepared to pay a small one off amount, say $10-20 for access.

Thanks, tom

hi, when i go to the infinite vortex site and click on articles it says for customers only. Im interested in seeing the details of configuring XP for audio and the creamware faqs. Is this available elsewhere? Can someone provide links?

Thanks kindly
