Nestor wrote:I have noticed that after analyzing and trying many trial software apps along the years, particularly from Computer Music magazine which I bought for quite a few years, I have always come to love German made software.

It is somehow curious this coincidence that always repeats itself: my sequencer, my audio editor and my soundcard are German ideas and German manufactured items. Everything I use constantly and love much is German made, everything!

I think this is not mere coincidence, but a way of seen things, some sort of strong empathy between German way of thinking and my own way of thinking. I have tried some American made software like Cakewalk and others, still very good and reliable, but the German stuff is an absolute winner when I compare them to each other, in terms of workflow and interface logics.

Perhaps, yes, the “way of thinking” is the reason behind it. What’s your experience about this point?
Its because all the german companies hire Dutch engineers!

My suggestion:
Let's stop this discussion...
To come back to music:
Even the headline of the thread scares me a little bit.
The first line of our antheme was:
"Deutschland, Deutschland ueber alles..."
wich is translated:
"Germany, Germany above the rest..."
:D

Hope you get me right!
Cheers,
Jan

don't worry Janni, I know an anthem with a line going
... and the rockets red glare,
the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof through the night
that our flag was still there...

cheers, Tom

and I loved it when Gail Devers sang it from the heart when she won a gold medal - never heard a better version :D

I think that's history...

Bonn - Berlin - Kabul - Weltsicherheitsrat

Beeindruckend, oder?
:D :D :D :D

But that's really off topic, isn't it?

Indeed, Celmo is a French fellow. And again, INDDED, it is one of the developers which best interprets my likes and dislikes, no doubt. But what he does is not sequencers, editors or soundcards, which is what I started. :)
