4896 aux routing

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the 4896 mixer routes aux returns to the monitor mix?

Been trawling through the manual and it indicates that a 'monitor gain' control on each aux return buss should control the signal passed to the monitor mix however I cannot seem to get this to work?

Whilst I am on it can anyone explain what the monitor return is supposed to be used for?

Never could get the monitor gain function to work, seems to be unimplemented.
