S/TDM

Post by MONNET »

Hi,

I wonder if the S/TDM protocol, on the Creamware scope card family, is compatible with the TDM protocol of the Analog Device SPORT ? if not is it possible to interface the them easily?
Thanks in advance for answering.

Even if the busses were the same on a physical level, the two cards architectures both soft and hard are not even close so how could they possibly communicate?

Hi,
Thanks for your idea,

If th bus STDM is equivalent to the SPORT bus physically, is already a good news. On the other hand, a TDM protocol is globally known and should not be very different. My question is now would be: if there is any one who knows about the timing of the STDM?

In fact, I want to use the Creamware card for audio acquistion and then routing the data throught the STDM to another analog device DSP based PCI card(from Bittware), which utilise the same DSP family as Creamware scope. Because I have some special algorithms to be executed on the Bittware card.

By the way, I am not sur if I can realise this algorithm, already developped in C, on the Creamware card? any ideas?

Thanks "stardust " for the advice. I agree with you, if this TDM is Creamware own protocol. It would be impossible mission.

What about my other question: to implement my C algorithm on the Creamware scope? is it possible to make a module from it and insert it as any other existant modules?
