Here is the way to go with the XP 32bit version of Gigastudio 4 w/ Scope 4.5.
Since SonicCore doesn't have to use new Vista drivers, I am elated. But if they ever re design their cards to use 64bit, and PCI-e, this board will last until then, and has many PCI-e options.

This DDRII is all about CL3 lowest latency. Afterall, even just stock RAM works fine with audio, the lowest latency products are best, as the overall speed factor has little to do with audio IMHO.

This company has made mission critical mobos for servers for decades. The BIOS is strictly meat and potatoes, although the graphics is uneeded, it will be disconnected.

The Intel QX6700 will be my hunting dog. The 6800 shows a slight bump in speed, but after years of buying into the fastest, and latest, I have learned that Scope and Gigastudio combined will run super fast and stable w/o having to pay 999 USD for a CPU. That is it's current price, but the day after Thanksgiving '07, Intel will cut this down to 500 USD, and I will grab it like a bear after Salmon. Caustiously awaiting the one that jumps the highest.

Western Digital Raptors will rule again also. Large libraries and lightning speed in the memory subsystem are crucial in my DAW, and with CL3 latencies of 800MHz DDRII, I shall enjoy the inaudible differences somehow.

I have decided to use my analog hardware synth, and the new hardware Solaris outside of my DAW's where they could get great use with the Oberheim Echoplex Pro delay / looper that will just add another dimension of sound. So 2 Scope DAW's, and all of my external synths will be routed into my hardware analog mixer. I should be happy with this rig for a while.
Thanks synthetic88 for the heads up on Gigastudio 4's compatability with my old rig, and good luck @ AES in NYC. NEW YORK CITY !!???!? Get A Rope.
The only thing comparable to Scope, is shooting a fully automatic MP5.
After using these weapons for the first time, I knew life was worth living again.
