File uploads now require which pulsar version

Hey folks,

It came to my attention that modular and project files created on pulsar v3 will not work on previous pulsar versions. (So a modular patch created under Pulsar 3 won't work on Pulsar 2). So I added a new required field when uploading a file to indicate which Pulsar version it was created with. This should help those of you that are a version behind to know which files are going to work for you...

I can't really go through all the existing posts and set this, but it will be set (by you!) for all new uploads.

I bet all older devices will still work in later OS updates.

Here is a trick brought all the way from Denmark to you

Under your message there are a bunch of icons.
One of them has the function edit (I know you know that

)
That button leads you to a page, where you can edit your message.
Under the message there are 4 options, you can click - try the first one - it actually deletes your message completely, and it is easyer than typing *oops double post*

I think that's backwards

What we've discovered is that files created with Pulsar 3.x are NOT backward compatible to earlier versions. But files from 2.x are forward compatible. Your conclusion is correct I think, that older devices should work in newer updates.

new software can open old files = backward compatible

old software can not open new files = just like word or photoshop or 3ds max or just about anything.

Yeah, you're right. What confused me was atomic saying that the files themselves are backward compatible.

The software is backware compatible! Thanks for clarifying defex.
