Post by slammah2012 »

would there be any conflicts or compatibility issues between Scope and my RME HDSP 9652 ....using XP pro sp2

i'm not sure how you want to use them together.

you can have both in the machine, but you won't be able to use both at the same time while using your sequencer.

you can certainly connect both cards via ADAT.

You'll like the Alesis.
I have been using one 4 a long time, which gets bounced to an Otari 2-Track when it's available.

I really need to learn how to use Scopes VDAT, and VCR 128 w/ the Alesis though. I hear that's the way to go w/ 32 bit integer apps.

Quit wating time and get a Scope Pro though. That's where the real action begins 4 recording, mixing, and synths as well.

i have 96/32 that works well with pulsar_2 via adat. i also use spdif out form apogee preamp... the prob is switching between spdif and adat for hundred times everyday.... it sucks

other than that both works fine.

The only difficulty I am having right now is with the 9 pin ADAT SYNC input on the RME.....It works, but only as input... but I am wanting to "master" the Computer and slave the Alesis HD24 and Adat machines.....
The computer will slave fine to the SMPTE from the behringer Automated Digital mixer, and the HD should be able to shuttle to the locations set in my mixer, like a BRC would do

The Scope Card has Adat sync in and a sync Out 9 pin plus 3 lightpipe i/os...
In the setup presently I have 48 Analog inputs on my A/D stuff and can input 32 in(analog or digital) on the Behringer...Why wouldn't I be able to use the light pipes of "both" the RME card and the Scope cards while using the Adat Sync 9 pin on the scope to control the transport of my Alesis hd24
