disabling startup project

i wonder, does anyone know how to disable scope to start up automaticcally when starting winXP? i tried uncheck the *active box*, and changing the extension of *newproject.pro* and *startproject.pro* from *pro* to *000*. didn't do the trick.
anyone ??

run msconfig, and disable in in the Startup tab
