I was wondering since my KS88's are such sweet controllers for live work, surely there is a decent hardware control surface other than the BCR2000 which reminds me of recording pre Tom Dowd / pre Fader days.
A surface w/ faders and knobs, as well as buttons for mute solo and buss. I use to use the ancient Yamaha DMP7 w/ motorised faders and liked the way they reset themselves for scene changes, so that would be desirable also.
Thanks In Advance.
Hardware Surface for Cubase 4 / Scope
That is incredible !!
Is this what Olive was talking about months back?
What an awesome idea, even though it's virtual. Have you had the pleasure of messing with it?
I could have sworn that Olive sent us a pic of it. That might have been what he suggested for the DAS MM w/ the Hussies. That would be great live as the LCD could be used in the dark rather well, but I wonder if access to more than 8 channels @ a time would be fast enough for live work? I like the idea for sure. 3 large though, at a time so close to the Hardware Solaris release. I have never been able to save a dime since I started buying Scope related projects. I guess I better get used to that frame of mind.
I need a good hardware surface that reacts to my touch, as I am still old fashion with my senses, especially touch, and ears.

I just read two different reviews, one of which was from an editor I've grown to trust Mark Frink of Mix Magazine, who BTW discussed his Theramin over Sushi at the 95 NAMM show. So when an old timer like him who has done some serious FOH work in his time speaks well, I am sold.
He has some fabulos stories of sond checks with Tony Bennet,.............................I Left My Heart,...In San Francisco,......
I would have been fired for falling asleep @ that gig 4 sure.
Thanks Stardust, your advice was excellent as usual. This will be purchased along with Solaris. This will be great, as I will be forced to record at home and further retreat from public life, as contact with my own species has always dissapointed me..
Captain Nemo,......in 20.000 leagues beneath the sea.

I'm also looking for a solo/mute/fader controller, to just control the 24/48 mixer.scope4live wrote:A surface w/ faders and knobs, as well as buttons for mute solo and buss.
I have the old Peavy PC1600, but its nice 16 buttons can't have their own controller assignment, they just mute or solo the related fader (and some other stuff, like note-on or exclusive).
That's a pity, as I only need 16 (preferrably 24) solo and mute buttons, and faders would be nice.
I guess the Doepfer machines with it's many buttons will serve me

What controller has just two times 24 buttons and eventually 24 faders. that's the question

My Korg microControll does the synths, so that is covered
