Looper Jamming

Post by dawman »

I love my Larry Seyer Acoustic Bass, and Drum Libraries, but sometimes I just want to hear synths and FX only, w/o being ( yawn, yawn) symphonic.

I sold my Line 6 since I use Celmo and SpaceF delays, and the stock Pattern delay from CW.

I love getting lost in delay loops, and dubs.

Does anyone know of a looper for SFP that's outside of modular, that can say be similar to the Line 6, or Oberheim Echoplex? I would love to do reverse stuff also, and since using Bidule can now expand w/ Kontackt, and other choice VSTi's and FX. I remember reading about NI's Spectral Delay years back. Has anyone ever used that?

I really should learn what I already have, but this is a habit of mine since childhood, I doubt I will ever change.

Any Feedback or Suggestions?

Hi, Jimmy, I had the same but opposite "problem" few weeks ago (do you rememeber?)
Now I'm in hardware solution with Line 6, but in my deep search I've found this from Celmo (try the demo):

http://www.celmo.com/Pro_Vintage_Delay_page.htm

Pro vintage delay, it sounds amazing and features a very looooong dealy preset that coul make for you ;)
Plus it features "Hold freeze", wow!
Try it.
4PC + Scope 5.0 + no more Xite + 2xScope Pro + 6xPulsarII + 2xLunaII + SDK + a lot of devices (Flexor III & Solaris 4.1 etc.) + Plugiator.

Wow, that's right. I forgot about that one. I love his stuff. Tape Sim is really cool too.

I found that delays don't clutter up the PCI buss nearly as bad as reverbs. So I will keep using my hardware there, except for really cool presets that my lexi won't do.

Peace,

Right On My Brotha' !!
You will be so happy w/ it. Please get Flexor RD, and RD Modules II from JB also, as well as Solaris Modular. These are key to getting signature sounds.

When you start experimenting w/ the WAV Oscillators, pm me. I have some of my favorite presets for ProWave, and Solaris using the WAV Oscillators. The content it too large to use the preset thread. I gave up on that, as everytime I have put presets there, they are useless as they must have the right FX in the insert racks, samples, modules, etc. I was embarrased when I downloaded my presets and realised what happened.

The waveforms I have were recorded using the Kyma DSP platform, and are quite unique. What the Waldorf Oscillators don't provide, the WAV Oscillators using Kyma waveform creations will definately cover, as they were LFO swept during the recording on many samples.

Enjoy,
