MIDI Source, Seq MIDI Dest, Seq MIDI Source, MIDI A Dest

Post by fraz »

Hi,

I have some questions for the gurus here at planet Z... :)

I'm not sure how everyone else has linked their projects together but my projects revolve around:

Pulsar 2 MIDI A Source (MIDI in on Creamware card) - Sequencer MIDI Destination (Cubase, Logic, Sonar etc...) &

Sequencer MIDI Source 1, 2 etcc - Pulsar 2 MIDI A Destination. My question is about Pulsar 2 MIDI A Source and Pulsar 2 MIDI A Destination -

Does a MIDI B source exist? - And does a MIDI B Destination exist?

More cards of the same type? - EG - 2 x Pulsar 2 cards = Pulsar 2 MIDI A + B Source & Pulsar 2 MIDI A + B Destination modules being available for inclusion in your projects?

I also have a Power Sampler, so instead of Pulsar 2 MIDI A Source it's PS MIDI Source but not PS MIDI A Source as it is with Pulsar 2 MIDI A source - Why?

I apologize for the above post that I made... :( ...I checked the SFP software and Power Sampler MIDI Source is the same as Pulsar MIDI Source so if I choose PS MIDI Source from the available options it says PS MIDI A SOURCE....My question above was wrong.... :) ...no harm done... :) ...I hope...

Planet Z, a good learning experience.

Best Regards

Does this have two physical MIDI ins and MIDI outs connected to the snake cable?

I didn't realise that the 24 ADAT version of Scope cards actually has 2 x MIDI in and 2x MIDI out on the snake cable, so you could connect two controller keyboards.

example: Keyboard 1 connects to 24 ADAT Pulsar - MIDI out from keyboard into MIDI in on Scope and MIDI out on Scope into MIDI in on keyboard 1

Keyboard 2 connects to 24 ADAT Pulsar - In exactly the same way but uses the second MIDI in & Out on the 24 ADAT card.

My Pulsar 2 only has 1X MIDI in and 1X MIDI out. The 24 ADAT version from what you've said has 2X MIDI in and 2X MIDI out, so you can have two controller keyboards.... :D ...wow, that's fantastic. Two people can play live and jam... :)

When I read your above post I mis-understood.
