... easy addin for building multiband-compressors & expanders with Tube-EQs... b.t.w. CM2 is using an old free dsp-file from Wolfgang Steckenleiter. Hope this is the right dsp file. WS said it was free & orig. by Neutron.
Heya Martin, yes, welcom back in the arena
Just got me the ISON eq by De-Vice, but this one will complement nicely I guess :-0
thanks a lot, but I never beleive you can postpone for several weeks to fix that bug...
This was perfect 4 me, as I needed to bring 2 x mono signals into a mixer, etc. to make my hybrid mono beast complete. I've been dickin' around 4 days trying uselessly w/ modular, and other little ideas, to no avail. Then MYCCYRANNO said " Let There Be Tube EQ". Then there was Tube EQ, and it was good.
As the picture shows, the 2 x mono signals can be EQ'd and sent to the STM1632 for final treatment, where SpaceF delays await, and other awesome FX. I would love to see a mono version for use as an insert into VP-8, etc.
Your idea to have the Pre-Amp section w/ bands was perfect for this application. My synths are just impossible to stop playing with. @ my next gig I will be doing nothin' but B3, and synths. I have several solo segues from Wakeman's Six Wives Of Henry The VIII, and ELP's Tarkus, Trilogy, etc. I shall be ruler of all I survey, as that stuff was woodshedded long ago. I pity the keyboard player who opens 4 me.
You and Shroomz have created this little Tube Train ride, and I am glad to be aboard. Thanks 4 a kick ass solution.
Notice the VP-8 in the picture above representing the first 8 channels. This is also a perfect solution as the GSIF module ( Gigastudio ) which sends the electro-mechanical samples to the ECC83S emu for added vintage warmth, then to the STM1632, or SpaceF's 8S mixer.
My powered Barbetta stage monitors sound incredible.
I just thought I'd drop a reminder to anyone who wants to make their B2003 whail supremely.
I run 2 instances of B2003 so I can have more realism and flexibility. Tube EQ can actually bring out more of the drawbars presence just like an EQ could, but much more surgical. And the extra overdrive gives the B2003 more of the old tube pre amp sound the leslie has which the b2003 is lacking.
This is a great way to perk up any dull B2003 presets. And since I have to do gigs where we are not allowed stage monitors ( Suck ass bull shit ) This helps making the B2003 sound bareable when forced to use an all virtual rig. If I was using an all VSTi rig, w/ no Scope synths or rotary cabinet, well I just wouldn't do the gig. Fuck it.
MCCY,
My Brotha',
I am out of town still in Lake Tahoe, but was wondering if this new version has preset storage? I use it on my B2003 emus and need to be able to store some different variations. That would allow me to us this device live. I set and forget w/ the synths i.e.ProOne, C4T, SE-1x. But with the B2003 instances I would need 2 instances, therefore the need for preset storage.
Sorry, Jimmy, the 'pure' Tube EQ has no preset-saving, but all others
So I'm thinking about an update-version in style of the ecc device... (driveknobs without changing gain + extra gain). ECC has a different circuit concerning the ecc dsp - handling which is much more adequat. Hm. O.K. for now I start with adding presets. See you in a few minutes
You are unbelievable, I bet you thought that nobody would use your stuff live. Well all I can say is a BIG FAT BASTARD THANK YOU !!!
Wired,...my Brotha',
I played a B3 for so long, the waterffall keyboard has a way of carrying over old habits. Plus the extra keys for the left hand, and right are crucial when doing the proper emulation. But mostly I can devote all parameters of instance one to the lower manual, and add seperate Tube EQ settings to get tjhe sound just right, those settings will be exclusive to that manual. Than the second instance for the top manual. This eliminates all global distortion / overdrive settings and really makes my two controllers turn into 2 88 note B3 manuals. But I do suggest that the player buy a Motion-Sound Pro 3t for rotary, or if you have the back and crew available, the good old walnut cabinet Leslie 147 and pre amp. The new guy here called Slammah knows his Hammond sound and uses a B2004 ASB I believe, in conjunction w/ his Hammond. Check out his posts also, as a rocker playing w/ multiple guitars, the clean non-realistic Hammond emus would sound like some bitch in a music store at the mall, totally unacceptable.
Thanks Again MCCYRANNO, This is an overlooked device that deserves it's day in the sun, I also use it to blend two mono synth signals such as my WC ProOne, and my hardware analog SE-1x. The Pro 3t, and the SE-1x can both be had on ebay for approximately 6-700 USD !! They can make or break a live rig IMHO.
This device can make the B2003 sound so realistic, as it gives the emu the badly needed balls that the Leslie tube pre-amp has. It is a must IMHO when not using a rotary cabinet. I will even use it w/ my rotary when I get home from vacation. I can have rotary and non rotary presets. Options make the world go round !!
Since I can't figure out how to send a copy of my project, I thought a snapshot would work. ( literally )
Just in case you're wondering how to do this : run Start/Programs/Accessories/Paint, switch back to your scope app, open the routing window, and hit PrintScreen (it's a key on your keyboard). Switch back to the Paint program, and go Edit/Paste, and you will have a picture of the screen loaded as a graphics file. I would save it to a USB memory stick to transfer it to another computer from where it can be sent.
Right'O,
That works great. I shall send a snapshot when I get back to Vegas. It's really a great way to show your discoveries.
This is a really awesome device to get the B2003 up to snuff. The CW overdrive is global at best. This device allows more precise control and sounds exactly like CW's does, but is basically 7 drives @ one time with precise control of the virtual crossover points which make the Leslie a Leslie.
And if that wasn't enough, the ProOne, C4T, and external hardware analog synth through this are so sick. I never thought that I could improve the sound of my SE-1x, but closed minds get fewer results, as I proved that hybrid rigs are an extension of virtual and of hardware analog. They extend each other !! I could never go back to an all hardware rig again, but I also could never use an all virtual rig either.
I belong to a couple of chats where everyone has an avatar of themselves, and a couple of guys remember me from the band Mama's Pride from the late '70's. They all post their pic as an avatar, and I haven't added mine yet. This little puppy should do the trick.
