Luna II, more analog inputs. How?

I have a Luna II and I want to add more I/O. I was considering getting a different PCI card like the M-Audio Delta 1010LT, but my relationship with my Creamware card is better now that I have a new PC and got XTC mode working with Sonar 6.

How can I get 2 or more analog inputs? Is there some kind of break out box I can add, or do I need to get a whole other PCI card?

If I need another card, is the Luna II even produced anymore? What's cheap?

Are there Creamware distributors in the US?

I want to do this cheaply if possible. The Delta 1010LT is only $200 usd for all the inputs I need. I don't care about more DSPs because I use it only for routing.

there is a box called luna24/96 i/o box. it is connected via z-link and has 8 additional ins and outs (unbalanced rca). you could also connect half an a16u via z-link

buying the adat expansion gives you another z-link port (to which you could hook up another i/o box or the other half a16u) and 16 adat channels (you would need an adat i/o converter for that).

( but the probably cheapest solution to get another 2 inputs is buying a used luna and chain them via stdm to your luna.

if you're lucky you can get one for about 100 eur. )

This sounds like a good solution for me. Can you explain what you mean by "chain them via stdm to your luna?" So it's more than just filling another PCI slot?

Can I have three Luna II cards (which I understand are now called Scope Home) running at the same time? I'm guessing stdm is that unused multi-pin connector on the card? Is there enough to chain three? Will I run into PCI bandwidth problems with three at once? I have all new PC hardware, so I'm guessing I won't, but I remember the headache of these alerts popping up on my old motherboard.

Someone sent me a message saying that the Scope I/O converters are much better than the Delta 1010LT converters. Is this true? Where can I verify this?

exactly. the stdm cable has 3 connectors, which means you can chain three cw cards of your choice (that includes a setup with three lunas).

almost right. you get additional entries like "luna 2" and "luna 3", where the additional i/o ports show up.

don't know, since I don't have a delta card (although I almost bought one some years ago, for of the same reason: to get a lot i/o).

the options are:

Luna box (8 in/out) if you can find one as they no longer made
contact Garyb of Promusic exchange.
he may help you locate a luna box or 2)

A16 Ultra (16ins/outs)

add aother DSP cards.

Are there Creamware distributors in the US?

yes it is called creamware Audio locations: New York and Vancouver

if you are looking for dealers we got plenty too. check the list on creamware website under dealers. or the list here under ASB dealers.

I noticed that Musiciansfriend.com now carries CreamWare products. Last time I looked they didn't.
