Has anyone added a Pulsar II to a Pulsar setup ? Does the Pulsar II have to be a master of some sort to give the lower ULLI settings ? If so does that mean purchased Pulsar plug ins won't work or will the Pulsar key still be registerd ? I will email Creamware but am afraid of a slow response and I want to add a Pulsar II soon.

Subject: ulli settings

You can only set the point on the middle setting (13ms).
A lower latency setting is supported only by hardware (pulsarII).
So you won´t be able to go to 4ms or 3ms if you use PulsarI and PulsarII, because you use the same Software for both cards.
Even if you want to use only PulsarII on low latency setting you will need a very fast Computer.

if you add any kind of 2 series (Luna, Pulsar 2, Elektra, Powersampler) to an existing Pulsar 1 setup, you can get lower (3ms ... ) ULLI settings without any problem.

But yes 3ms latency require a nice CPU to run.

Normally I use 7ms latency with my Pulsar 1 + Powersampler setup.

But, if and when you do set the Latency settings to the minimum you might have a problem with audio breaking up, etc. I have a Pulsar I + Pulsar II SRB setup on a G4 Macintosh and I can't go lower than 10 ms on the ULLI. Lower than that and my audio sounds very choppy. I use Logic to record. Hopefully a problem to be solved in the future.

And don't worry about DSP plugins. As long as they're registered to one of the boards they will play on a multi-board setup.
