Sub Placement w/ DAW's Onstage ?

Post by dawman »

Will my DAW's be subjected any kind of magnetic damage by having them so close. I haven't used them @ a gig yet. So I have no idea if I will suffer from EMP or any weird shit like that? In total there is a Pro 3t which is on top of the rack, on each side a Sona 31C which has dual 8" cones, and then the 18" subs on each side. Since I will be playing dives w/ smaller stages, this was on my mind. They just sound so quiet to my ears, but even @ low volumes they just seem to make my asshole pucker. These are actually the first betas from T.Barbetta, ankyuvarymush.

your hd is magnetic storage. be warned.

if your stuff still works and doesn't get strange file corruption, you're probably well within limits. you wouldn't want to pack your system right next to the speaker's magnets when trucking across country either.

How 'bout we go 2 Nellis Air Base and bribe a gaurd for some secret alloys.
The Air Force has this amazing skin for it's Y-22 Raptors. Could 1 Raptors skin provide protection for my Raptors? Luv to find out.
All jokin aside, don't those 3Ware SATA RAID cages provide any protection?
Hell they don't even use RAID 0 or 1.
Protection shielding sleeves? I tried Quiet PC's sleeves, they made the drives rather hot.
This is interesting enough to research.

I still like the idea that my rig generates devastation.

Just read an article on eacoustics.com about turning your screen on blue background, and moving the speakers around to see if any distortion appears. This is a neat trick. But what about HDD's.

I think you won`t have a problem with your hds, unless the speakers don`t blow your system out of the rack...
