Well, I have the creamware bug in a bad but good way. I now have 2 pulsar 1s and I am just reading about how to construct an stdm cable. Should be fun.
I am now wanting to purchase the minimax in particular and was wondering if Creamware ever offers sales for the synth and samplers modules. I don't need a lot of polyphony and my budget won't afford one of the 15dps beasties but I hunger for great sounds and I suspect that the creamware commercial beasts deliver.
As many musicians, I am budget sensitive. Any history of sales of said products would be helpful.
Kudos to the participants on this forum. I have read through many threads and the level of discussion is typically mature and helpful. You don't always see that.

I have been looking at the scope 4.5 upgrades page which is quite confusing to me.
I am just about to receive a new / old pulsar 1 which is new in the box and never registered. I understand that the pulsar 3.1 software is free to all users. In fact , I am using this software on my first pulsar 1.
The one piece of software which I am most intereted in now is the modular II . My card came with modular one which made my jaw drop when i heard the cs-15.
Given that my new old card hasn't been out of the plastic wrapper, I was wondering if it will qualify for scope 4.0 or 4.5 or if I need pay an upgrade price. I am hoping I will qualify for the modular II.
Does anyone have any insight into creamware's upgrade policies? Thanks.

This is from the the Scope 4.0 readme file. It indicates that this list is for the Pulsar New or existing customers with pulsar propack.
Given that both of my cards haven't been registered but they are older pulsar 1, I am not sure where that leaves me. It would be very nice to have the modurlar II but I am doubtful. Do you have any thoughts on this ?

If you register the cards, and download Scope 4.0, you should end up with Modular 2 at least, and probably quite a bit more. Exactly what is always a bit of a lottery. The upgrade to Scope 4.5 is probabaly worth it too, as the entitlement on the original Pulsar 1 card is actually quite good. Hopefully Ralf can tell you exactly what you would get.

As you have mentionned Minimax, i would say that perhaps you should consider getting a klang if you mainly focus on ONE synth (prodyssey, minimax, b4000,Pro12)... If you are ready to pay 200€ for the plugin, i would personally go for the minimax hardware (klang model) which will cost you 300/350 euros (there is a "light edition with smaller polyphony i think) so that you have more power (the dsp of your P1 won't be used by the minimax) and the extra money goes for a hardware model.
Remember that P1 are not as good as the 6 dsp cards (bandwidth, latency) so a host of plugins won't perform too well on some systems (Minimax is quite hungry... ). I would say that if you plan to invest on some plugins i would first of all purchase a reliable and recent card (Pulsar2 or scope project are 2d generation and can handle ALL the 3rd party and creamware plugins...). Of course, if you don't have the budget, ask rb@creamware.de what they can propose you as an upgrade....

Thanks again,
I like the flexibility of the routing options. With two pulsar 1s I have 4 adat pairs and will likely add a pulsar II to get better ASIO performance down the road. I have contacted creamware ralf and the general contact email . I'd be extremely happy if I get the modular II with this basic package. I
