so you don't have an adat card in your yamaha? then there's no way connecting the pulsar via adat to your aes/ebu input, since it's electrical, not optical (and a different protocol anyway).

1) get yourself an adat module for your mixer.
2) ask your local electronic shop for an optical toslink/toslink cable. I could imagine you could get one from yamaha if you desire, but at a higher price. I don't remember cw having offered an optical cable as accessory...

if you have the pro plate/layout, yes. the classic one has unbalanced analog i/o instead of balanced, and no aes/ebu.

there are cables called digisnake with db25 to 4 xlr male and 4 xlr female. they are available at several online stores.
but you could route only 2 channels to/from scope, not 8. and you can't use an optical cable. this would mean adat (8 channels, yes), and thus an adat i/o option for your mixer.

There's no way you'll be able to link your pulsar and your 01v without the adat card.
I used to have a 01v with the adat card (wich is called MY8AT) to hook it up with my pulsar. This card has 2 toslink conectors (optical) while the AES/EBU one (while still digital) is electriclal.

This is what you should get:
