Looking for phase meter

Post by Ed »

Hi!

I'm looking for some kind of a phase meter.
Is there anything like that?

Cheers,

Another thread in the devices forum which doesn't HAVE any Scope device/s.?
Why is it not extremely obvious that the device forum here is meant for posting 'Scope devices' & nothing else? ... / bangs head on wall. / bangs head on wall again.

All we can hope is that John will move all of the non-device threads out of here at some point when he's doing a tidy.

Nothing personal btw Ed & no offense meant. It's just that non-device threads in the Device forum mess up search engine results.

Threads get moved out of the announcements forum (and others) here on Z all the time because they're posted in the wrong forum. The same should apply to the Scope 'Devices' forum, where guess what? You post Scope Devices. Not requests, not device bug-report threads, not 'where can I download free devices' threads, not 'poti animations' threads, not 'preview an image of my forthcoming device' threads, not ANYTHING other than threads giving away Scope devices either as betas, freebies or demos.

That's just my opinion though & I really have no wish to moderate the forums.

I can imagine Shroomzes frustration.
It's hard to scroll through this forum to check out devices history, for example.

I'd like to pley also for well-conscious forum behaviour.
Did you guys notice the 'General Scope Discussion' is used for really anything these days?

As if the word 'general' means you can dump anything here...like free samples links, audio editor questions, ProWave aftertouch problems, headsets, specific synth sounds construction questions, expressing joy at package arrival, asking for specific plugs, announcing that a specific plugin rocks, IRQ problems, how to use ADAT, the new Dynatube amps, a good Cubase forum, the pricing of Flexor, the number of SPL Atacker instances, etc. etc. etc. etc.
Completely insane posts regarding the forum title.

General Scope Discussion means stuff like:
Vista support, 82kHz devellopments, yes or no to a sequencer, new Sharcs or not, an external box or not, the new hardware line up in the context of the market, Scope vs. VSTi quality, Scope GUI improvements, (S)Creamware and marketing, OSX support, and of course the Body Of Ralf.

Otherwise we could John ask if he could strip all forums except problem solving forum and OT forum, and even the first one...[/b]

usefull tools are ok

Post by Wired »

any usefull tool is ok to upload , even vst or standalone in my opinion, we are aspiring audio engineers, if it covers something we can't get in scope , or if its better than scope , ..i'll use it,

Sure...who's saying he's against other plugs or software :-)
But... obviously the 'Devices' forum on Planetz was/is meant to hold the Scope plugs, for our convenience.
It's not meant to be a place to ask about and discuss 'devices' :-)
it's meant to announce plugs.

It should preferrable be a nice location to look for and find the devices which the platform actually offers, specially the 3rd party ones of course.
This function get's totally in the background if it's floaded by questions and discussions (even more if you include native stuff).
We have better places for that :-)

In my opinion the devices forum is only for posting scope devices (if useful or not), nothing else. Developers of others platforms have enough room on the web to offer or advertize their product(s). This one should be completely scope-only.
Also we have a separate forum for requesting devices and discussing alternatives.

If this was a question: yes.

errh .. and thanks for mentioning, MCCYRANO.

Thanks,

But this thread can move to off topic then.
imho it's better off in the device/module wishlist.
maybe I just guess that the meter he was looking for should be a device for scope
(instead of being a piece of hardware or a vst plugin), but, well, that's what I thought :)
so IF it was like that, the question was concerning the existence of a device, so it's not entirely off topic.
