sorry if this not a place for this, but i want say why i feel frustraction about cw:
try to imagine that you bought cw mixer on cw shop and they don't work properly because of bug. ok, every new software have some bug! but, in meantime cw made #3 software update and don't fix bug, don't response to any of your's mails and any mail of users with same problem. and cw still sale this mixer in cw shop?!
so, please if your's setups works smoot, don't be "selfish" and try to understand users who feel like me.
sandro
how i feel about cw
this is "inserts saving bug" in big-mixer and rm242 mixer.
ok, i solve this with useing multyFX module, but on cw forum many users asking same question day by day because they don't have any response from cw. this is only one example. It was almost the same with "old sts device bug".
i just want to explain why some users feel helpless and frustrated.

Ah yes, I do know that one - the "famous" insert bug. I wonder though if you have only limited resources whether it is better to say: "Keep going, improve the basic product with big innovations and forget about the little bugs." Or do you say: "Let's get everything absolutely perfect and then think about new devices."
In the case of the insert bug the "new devices" theory sort of works because you just encourage people to move up to the new PulsarMixer and forget about the BugMixer.
Still, I know what you mean. I think CW should put more effort into communication with their customers.

i just recieve answer from cw to my question about this bug, what i send mounth ago. they say that i can find answer on FAQ but i can't!?
btw: how much time FAQ exist on cw's site?!
i didn't know for cw's FAQ - it's really good, but missing some realy frequently asked questions... anyway i feel better now!

Agreeing with Spirit's comments in every respect IE that I hope that they look to the future of product development, But I wish they would pick up the game when getting things right. I'll say this.
The bug you experience is annoying as I experience it too. BUT there is no reason at all to stop working. Just insert your effects between your source object and your mixer as you would in the real world with real hardware.
The only downside is the loss of screen real estate. otherwise this method DOES save your effect setting and you can continue to work on.
Yes we could bitch on all day about it and it will probably make me buy propack for the new mixer. But I would have anyway.
But what do you really want to do?? Make music or bitch about things that don't HAVE to stop you working?
Don't get me wrong I'm not having a go at you, I'm just suggesting that you might get more out of you investment and be generally happier about it if decide that you will continue regardless of your obstacles.
Think about it....
and have fun!

It stopped me working while trying to figure out what was going on. Now I know it's a bug it won't stop me although I'll work a bit slower. On 2002-02-04 21:34, ontik wrote:

I'd love to see a bug list somewhere with suggested workarounds.

Here is recent reply by Ingo from the Creamware forum on this bug:
<i>I can confirm this problem. It happens with the BigMixer and the rm242 recording mixer, but not with any other Pulsar mixer or the current Luna mixers. However, this bug has nothing to do with the mixer but with something in the software itself which makes a quick fix somewhat more difficult.
We are trying to fix it with 3.1.
Until then, try one of the following work-arounds:
Run a dual installation of 2.04 and 3.01 and use 2.04 for your old projects.
For current projects, use the effects in the project window and not in the mixer insert slots, or use one of the other mixers like the dynamic mixer.
We are sorry for the inconvenience of this
