GuGa (guitar-gate) - device (was guga modular)

Post by MCCY »

Good for dynatube to avoid noise when playing distorted guitar.

Same as my modular version but without attack enhancer. So attack is a bit soft for that guitar purpose, but I think it's a nice utility anyway.
It's nice, because it has a softer and very fast decay time. You almost don't hear any gate working... (because it is no gate ;) it's a simple envelope follwer...

P.S. put it BEFORE dynatube (in the first insert)

Oh, played a bit more with it. It's very mighty on very heavy distorted sounds. You get them very 'clean' concerning noise. It can lower the sustain drastically, but that can be nice in many cases...

Try it!

Can't get enough gates. I haven't tried it yet, but it might work similar to the ISP Decimator pedal. Could be good on other sources aswell.

As I said, you can't get enough gates.
