3 x cards are behaving themselves:

OK then...................here's the hardware config:

ASUS A8V-Deluxe (BIOS v1014)
WinXP SP2 (.NET v1.1)
AMD 64 4400 X 2
4G Corsair CAS2.
GEForce 5500 dual head AGP
Magma x 13 w/ 4 x UAD-1 cards-PCI#4
Magma x 7 w/ x Creamware Pulsar II and I x Pulsar Home-PCI#3
1 x Creamware Pulsar II- PCI#2
(STDM cable has one connector 24 inches from the other two)
System is clocked to a Mytek WC distributed by a Lucid GenX-6
Steinberg Houston controller interfaced via USB
Korg Kontrolpadinterfaced via USB
ATA 133 7200 RPM system/sample and audio drives
Sony internal DRU 800 CD/DVD drive
USB 2.0 external HD

So far, so good. Very stable. I'll be wiring in my A16U tomorrow, but driver stability is excellent. I've been torturing the system pretty hard tonight mixing a 40 track project in Cubase SX while dropping/replacing *lots* of UAD-1 plugins and Scope plugins on the fly in rapid succession and I've got tons of graphics windows displayed. I've only had one crash and that was a screen freeze that happened when replaced a UAD-1 Neve 1073 plugin with a Neve 1081 plugin during playback with the UAD-1 meter over 70% but there were so many plugin windows open that I think the graphics card just OD'ed. It's an old NVidia GeForce 5500 dual head with 128 MB VRAM per head so considering what's going on and that the mobo only supports AGP 4 x, that's not too surprising.

I have to say that this system is more stable than I ever expected and despite my occasional whining, I'm a very happy camper so far.
