first generation boards should be pulsar 1 and 15 dsp expansion boards.

Pulsar 1 got 4 dsp - pulsar 2 / scope project got 6 dsp
For scope / scope pro i'm not shure. Think most of the 15 dsp is 2. gen too - but don't know for shure

If the big (15-14 dsp) card was marketed as "Power Pulsar" or "Scope Pro" it is a 2nd generation one, I'm not 100% excluding that some previous name existed for 2nd generation, but those two are 2nd g. for sure.

a first generation card cannot be set below 13ms latency as master, but that test is only necessary for some very early 15 DSP cards/extenders.
all 3, 6, and 14 DSP cards are 2nd generation, all 4 DSP cards are 1st.
if the current IO extender card fits on a 15 DSP board or if it was sold as Scope SP then it's 2nd generation.
the 1st generation 15 DSP cards were all sold with a DP license included

cheers, Tom
