Two Solaris's, Are Better Than One.

Post by dawman »

I recently purchased a Scope Pro from the deceased member Sinix which had ProOne, Solaris, and Prodyssey on it. This was a great buy as it contained synths which I didn't have. Prodyssey is great sounding emu of the old duo voice beast of yore, and ProOne is a synth I overlooked also, as it was used in several recordings I heard and wasn't sure what it was. Pink Floyd used that baby alot on Dark Side Of The Moon. Now I have the pleasure of doing layers and splits with Solaris on both DAW's. I drug out the Matrix 12 from my never used studio ( It is more like a museum ) and played patches from the '80's that I loved so much. Solaris x 2 , plus the SE-1x is an equal to the Matrix 12 / Xpander combo. I can't wait to jam again and rid myself of the high paying cheese whiz dance job I now do. This music is good for bobbing your head and chasing trim IMHO, as I grow weary of it's constant grooves w/o dynamics. But it has purchased all of my upcoming projects and vacations, and has brought SFP to the masses as like never before here in LV. So it has served it's purpose. But I wake up bobbing and grooving in the morning like I did during the Saturday Night Fever craze. This must cease. But if you like Solaris, just wait till you can do splits and layers on your controller.
