is it really better to send(record) my final stereo mix to vdat?
is it better than sequensers(nuendo)export audio mixdown?

Well, if you ever feel you are not getting what you hear, you will definitely get what you hear with VDAT. But it's more usefull when actually recording and mixing within SFP.

I am looking forward to a break in my gigs in Janurary to learn and use VDAT. I heard our key tech's recording of us live last year, and was floored by it's quality. I hope you respond to my posts when I hit any snags with it.

Track in VDAT, stereo mix to something else - VDAT records mono tracks.

Sounds better than cubase to me.

I wouldn't record any mix by using the internal export function...
Why don't you record the ASIO return from SFP?
The export function is said to be less good than realtime

export?
no.

don't mix in the sequencer if you want the best sound. mix in scope.

is there a reason to record on vdat if the playback is done from nuendo?
i mean why should i? in that case it is more easy just to export a wav from nuendo. am i right?

as have understood so far, vdat must be used only if there is sound that goes directly from scopes mixer and synths or live instruments. not when wav is played back from sequenser.

sure, just use nuendo.
nuendo's advantage is in editing. vdat's is sound quality.
nuendo sounds more than good enough though, you really won't miss the difference. if you care about sound quality, however, do not bounce your mix(export) from nuendo! mix in scope and record to a stereo track in nuendo, another app or an external stereo recorder! offline bounces mixed in the sequencer are light years inferior to realtime mixes in scope.
