guys hi!
i bought a cheap motherboard that supports agp and pci-e, even it supports ddr and ddr2.
asrock 775 dual vsta.
i have to tell you this.
it has some faults like sharring usb2 with sata contrroller. but reason i bought it it was because of the 4 pci slots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wouaou. my god what are we going to do with new mobos.anyway..

the coreduo i have is 6600.
well. i tell you this.
i set 48khz and 3mlsec ully,
i use 32 stereo asio2 in outs.
i have 20 dsps 14+6.
i use matrox triple head2go+the second vga out of my asus nvidia agp8 512k ddr2 card, equals 4 monitors.(3840x1024)+1024x768.

and not even one pop and crackle.
via chipset seems stabe even if it didn't sound so nice.
no pc freezes and acpi works like hell.

i must say that cpu is probably the most importand thing on the pc.

with 478 and prescots, it was a nightmare.
cpu cpu cpu cpu cpu cpu cpu cpu

waitting for intel to come with core quattro near christmas and multicore in the near future within 2007.

but what about pci's?

Masterverb test?....

To put an image here you have to upload it in some webspace first, then use the URL as suggested in the FAQ's of PlZ, so it shows in your post...

well i loaded 12 masterverbs and when i loaded th13th a dsp error appeared and after loading 2 more getting these errors the pci master overflow message appeared as well.

there must be a scope issue.
because i see the dsp meter loading much in some dsps amd almast not at all in some orthers, thats since the 12th masterverb, after getting the dsp capacity error and choosing to go on, then dsps spread their power equally, but then i get errors, ok.
also if i change the order of the cards pro first and p2 sec, the results are worse.
????

it seems bad according to what dsp meter says.
also there must be an issue about stdm connections.
i mean that beacause i use only 2 stdms this makes things more difficult for the dsps to share equally.
if i had 2 pros i would connect them with 5 stdms. now i connect with 2 which means 3 are unused for the pro card
my setup is 6+14dsps

Make the Scope Pro master and a single stdm would be more than sufficient I would think. 12 masterverbs is quite good for via, guess they've come a long way? Or perhaps you happen to have a fortuitous choice of components there.

there are loading issues which may keep the dsps from loading completely. pro tools hd will leave even more of the dsps unloaded. i see no problem except for what might be caused by mucking with it too much.

if i set the pro as master it is worse.
synths polyphony cannot be raised without messages from the start.
i do not know why though.
i think that i will test with the pro card only.
something tells me that one 14dsp card works better than two or three, except that it is only 14dsps.
