Hello!

I am thinking of adding a Scope Professional to
connect to my Pulsar 2 card.
The idea i have is to use the Pulsar 2 card DSP power for mixing/effects and that the Scope Prof. card should allow me to midi sequense alot of Minimaxes & other synthesizers at the same time.

I do not like to record a synthesizer one at a time, i want everything tweakable always!

If i leave the 14DSP`s untouched since my Pulsar 2 card will be used for mixer/effects,
how many monophonic Minimaxes could i run at the same time on 14DSP`s ?

And since i plan to add Protone & Prodyssey, wich of these synthesizers: minimax, profit5, prodyssey & protone eats the most DSP in monophonic mode?

Hey.. 22 views and no talk?

I wont be spending 1600€ before im sure of things...

Another question:

Although the included standard synths, Uknow & Prisma etc has some nice sounds,
i was very surprised that 0% code seemed to have gone into smoothing out the filter when controlling it with Midi CC#...
When using the mouse everything sounds fine but when i control it from a knobbox or my sequenser it sounds quite shitty! More like a 1990-sound module filter then a attempt of a analog synthesizer.

A synthesizer like the Virus or Nordlead obviously has code to smooth the parameters between the 128 steps offered by the midi protocol.

I need to know that this is the case with the
expensive creamware synthesizers also!
(Protone/Profit5/Minimax/Prodyssey)

Using just a mouse kills inspiration for me.
So before i spend any more money on creamware i need to be sure that controlling these synths with midi wont show off obvious digital artifacts as with Uknow & Prisma etc!!!

You can't use one card for a specific task and the other card for another task - you link the two cards together and use the total 20 DSPs. You really won't hit any major problems in DSP usage unless you like lots of instances of polyphonic Minimaxes.

Can't help you on the CC controller accuracy as i have never tried it via an external controller - hopefully someone else can elucidate about their resolution.

Thanks Garyb, what about smoothing of midi controlled parameters?

I use 2 x 88 note M Audio KS 88's. I can't think of a better surface 4 live performers. As I use synthesizers, FX, and mixers from SFP and MIDI on the fly is great. But I play live and need the xtra overhead and control. What is your plan, to record, DJ live, or punish the weak with the awesome sounding synths that SFP can muster up?

hey, any answer regarding the smoothing of MIDI CC from external controller into creamware?

I experience the same with my maudio radium49. When turning the knob on the radium on a filter on uknow or modular, i get stepping in filtersound.. Is there any workaround for this?
