What happens when you add a second card?
Hi,
I'm about to install a Scope Pro card, but before I do so, I'd like to know what happens when you install and register the card? I'd like to link my two cards via STDM.
I currently have a Pulsar2 with its own serial number and a bunch of plugins I've purchased over the years. (including SFP 4.5 update)
Ralf has told me that if I buy the 4.5 update for my Scope Pro, I'll get both plugin packs, MnM and SnS included for free. I'd also like to keep my old plugins that I've already bought. So - should I just plug the Scope Pro into the computer along with the Pulsar2, and register it on my page in creamware? Or is there something else I should do - like uninstall the P2, install the Pro, then do a plugin transfer (for my already bought stuff) from my P2 to Pro?
Anyone had to do this before and have any advice?
Thanks!

Installting a second card is easy. connect it with the STDM cable and reboot. it asks you for a driver point it to the win2K folder on your C drive under Scope. that is about it.
now if your Scope Prof. comes with more software then the next step is to simply reinstall the software on the top and make sure you select the Scope Profesional package. this way the extra plugins from the 2 packs will copy into the new installation (still better than installing individual plugins)
note you need to first have the Scope Prof. registered and software generated by ralf and a new allkeyfile for the Scope Pro so you can import during registration.

Wow haha, I just posted this, and went looking at another thread, then come back here and -5- replies already. Thanks a lot for the info!!
Now the slight issue is that this is a used card, that does not have the 4.5 update included with it. I mentioned this to Ralf last night and he said that all 15 dsp cards recieve the plugin packs with sfp 4.5 update..
Does this mean I should buy 4.5 a second time, for my 15 dsp card, and then add both cards together? Or should I just install the card as you instruct and ask Ralf for extra plugin pack license? (since I already have 4.5 for my Pulsar2)
Thanks again!

you can run the 4.5 you got for pulsar 2 (with 1 Pack)
to get the 2nd pack . you need to upgrade the Scope Prof to the 4.5 upgrade.
otherwise use the 4.5 with 1 pack that came with your pulsar 2
Only brand new Scope Prof get the 4.5 with 2 packs free.
All older models get updated with the purchase of 4.5 for the specific SN

Good To Hear My Brothers From Up North Are Using The Ultimate DSP Platform still. Send me a PM if you ever come to Las Vegas, and you can hear Scope synths through 5 surround mixes, right along side of Capybara from Kyma, which is another great DSP Platform. But their stuff is better suited for audio mulching and great live /realtime morphing which are quite impressive. I have never played my synths through such an awesome sound system before. I can feel the SPL's across the rooms there.

Hello,
right what Mr Arkadin wrote !!!
Just let me know the hardwareserielnumber of your new board and your login-name. I will register it to your account and you will get the new allkeyskeyfile with all your registered devices ( old and new ones - just all the stuff of both cards ) by email.
right from Ali :

If you want to run both packs on your system, than you should to upgrade the big card to Scope 4.5
In every combination of boards in one system, all devices of all boards are available. No matter to which card the devices has been registered.
cheers

Just slap that card in. No re-registering or anything required - you'll be able to use everything registered to either card. Ain't SCOPE great.

just a sidenote
if an email doesn't reach it's destination it's not necessarily due to a spam filter on the recipient's system.
email is passed via chains of servers and if (just) ONE link is considered a source of excessive spam, it's blocked, ie set on a 'blacklist' and NO mail at all will be transmitted from this node.
the provider then will need to setup a different route, they probably do this constantly...
cheers, Tom

I sent another email to Ralf and this time it went through; he immediately registered my card!
