Hi there it's my first post my this forum.
I have a LunaII/scope4.0
As you know I only have 1 in/1 out on my luna.
I'm craving to have 2 outs, and I know that I have this sp-dif in/out on my board but as being a moron (lol) I don't really know how to use it even if i know it's digital.
Can you help me ? could I find a cheap device that could "have an sp/dif In, an analog out" and connect to my card ?

Desperately waiting for you (positive aswers)
Peace

that digital port is In/Out, so you can use external gear that has digital In /out without any ADDA conversion.

(You can also use machines with only digital in, if they exist, but then you'll need more analog inputs to feed them back to your computer).

The Lexicon reverb series for example , even the cheap ones, have SPDIF (SonyPhylipsDigitalInterfaceThingies, an industrial standard).

It's really great to use an external reverb from your soft mixer's aux without any losses.
But there are so many other ways using the SPDif, like digital mixers etc.

If you need more (analog) ins, you have to buy an in-out box, Fostex has a cheap one, Creamware's one is better, and plenty others are on the market.

cheers

if you can afford it, try to get Creamware's Luna IO box - it's a sell-out item probably in the range of 200 Euro.
It will be very difficult to find the same quality for less.
Don't bother about 'sell-out' - my A16 (2nd hand) is > 6 years old and I don't even think about to send it to retirement

cheers, Tom

oops, and welcome btw
