have just installed correctly the cardbus driver on PC stadard mode. There are some drivers I still have to install, like IDE, ISA, ISA-PCI, etc, I´ll try tomorrow.
But I still don´t know what advandages have this mode. How can I change the IRQ on PC Standard mode?

I have reinstalled XP on Pc Standard mode. All drivers are correctly installed, unless a IDE device and the wireless. Scope works ok.
Can you now tell me how can I change individual IRQ for the Cardbus?
In the laptop bios, I have INTA, INTB, etc, and can chage IRQ there, but even changing carbus one, most of other devices are on the same INTx than the cardbus, included the VIdeo card, so need to can change on XP the IRQ for only the Carbus.
Valis, can you help here?

I don't know anything about magma or standard pc on a laptop. I can't get half my drivers to work in standard pc mode with my laptop, nor do the side controls work, standby doesn't work etc. I know I can force install APM and a few other things to workaround it but tbh since I don't have a magma the laptop I have works ok for my needs outside of a thermal issue.
All I can probably add that's helpful is: Try the properties panels for the devices you have loaded in your device manager. Sometimes WinXP will alloy to override resource settings (irq/dma) for certain hardware devices. Also if you do have options for pirq or something similar exposed in the bios do a bit of googling on that. Sorry I can't add more.

I thought someone told about IRQ on Magma.
I have installed all in Standard Mode unless IDE channels, wireless, and a COM port. So main feautes work ok. At first I can´t change IRQ on XP, it seems.
I bios I changed the IRQ for any INTx.
What happened is that on PC standard mode, one of the cardbus share the same IRQ then the Vide card and other devices, but on the other one, only shares with Network, built-in audio, and SMbus. So disabling the unused, have only the cardbus, SMbus, and Scope with this IRQ.
What´s is strange, is that with this exactly settings on the Bios, in ACPI mode, both cardbus shared IRQ with Video card and other devices, so really don´t know what to do.

I have found one setting to avoid the problem.
The laptop has a power management tool that allow 4 cpu speeds: Maximum, Adaptative, Slow and Very Slow.
When it´s set at Maximum, PCI-master overload message appears very often.
On Adaptative, not so often, but it appears.
At very Slow, and Slow doesn´t appear at the moment.
I have observed that on Very Slow, the graphics go very slow, and when open a window like Scope mixer vumeters, the CPU performance go from 20% to 60% of use.
Don´t know if the solved problem is regarding to a graphic use really.
Anyone have a explanation of this?
