short question:
I have a Behringer Rev2496 unit with optical in/outs.
by the way I love this unit. Its really very good for its price.
Can I use the ADAT on the Pulsar card for connection. Or does this only feature a multichannel config and no stereo In/outs
second question:
is there also an ADAT to 8 digital in/out box available for fully digital signal chain and connection...?

adat using as optical In/Out?
it once was possible i did with a fostex HDR long time ago;
but i remember restrictions when on old pulsar1; 'no spdif in common' when i remember right and only 2 channels the same time
8 channels is tdat but very old only second hand i think;
newest is a16 ultra;
but you can use every io with adat spec. interface; +
hope that helps
good vibes from vienna

thank you for quick response...
okay you think with new Pulsar Scope project cards it should be no problem to use the ADAT as Stereo Optical in/out, right
is A16 one of the cheapest solutions for in/out? any other good ones for a good price?
Thanks for your answers.

it worked once for shure (in v3.0 or 3.1 or so);
never used it since then; try it out;
there is tdat (very old) 8channel and a16 (old) and a16 ultra (new) both 16 channel definitive not cheep but very good;
http://www.thomann.de/de/creamware_a16_ultra.htm
on ebay they sell a16 as a16ultra be careful;
if you have zlink also lunaIO 24/96;
but as said you can use any with adat spec. IO

I use Fostex VC-8 which is good and priced between £150-200. Behringer also make a similar a good ADAT unit at a simlar price. Search the web.second question:
