Starting with synths and a Doepfer pocket fader.

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

I´m new on synths, it seems atractive and interesting. I have a Doepfer Pocket fader. It has an editor, where I can set any Midi parámeter to any fader, and save it on the different presets the Doepfer has.
I´m guessing if there are Midi controler presets here, I couldn´t find them. I can go for any thing on scope and go asigning midi parameters, but would be more easy to load presets of midi controller, specially on synths.
Also couldn´t find no one for control the mixer, I´m missing some site? or no one have been working on this?

There's issues with a couple parameters, and often people just assign those CC# as they need to automate parameters.

Here's an ageing pack of presets for CW devices and corresponding sysex banks for Pc1600(x), no sysex for the Doepfer though...

Thanks for the heads-up that there's an editor available for the Doepfer!

*downloads*

I've been using one for years without an editor, just programming it and storing setups via its MIDI connections in Cubase (which isn't too bad really).

You can download the editor in the Doepfer web.
Atom, the link you give has only Syx files for another device. What I´m looking for is not specially Doepfer presets, I´m looking for Scope Midi presets. I mean, presets where there is already asigned midi parámeters. Then, is quite easy to store them on Doepfer with the Editor. The pocket fader allows 128 presets, so can store one for any synth, mixer etc I use often.
I thouth those midi presets would be avaible..

Midi presets are pretty easy to set-up in Scope though. You can then save them as easily as you can the synth/devices's presets.

I know but I´ll have to do twice. Once for Doepfer, one for Scope,
If where Scope ones, just need to adapt the Doepfer to them.

well, you only really need one setup on the Doepfer right? Cause all the scope synth cc's can be freely assigned anyway. Just use the same knobs for the same functions in every synth.

I use it like this:
I made 4 doepfer setups for the 4 banks.
pocket dial/fader has the "master channel" feature:
by pressing the channel button and touching a knob (e.g. knob 4), you choose channel 4 for transmitting ccs to your scope devices.
So, you only need 4x16 ccs which work with scope.
My tip: there must be a general midi preset for doepfer. Just use that...
So you have 4x16 ccs for every midi channel/device...
Hope this helps,
Jan

It helps, thanks, I forgot the master channel feature, I´ll have to read the pocket manual again..

Any of you can give a link for introducing on synths? I mean, tricks for get different types of sounds using all those parameters..
