Guitar synth?
I can't afford a midi guitar but I would like to be able to use my guitar as a synth. I thought the Guitar Synth that's on the Flexor site would do the job (Syntar) but it only plays it's internal osc - there must be a way to use monophonic audio and convert it to midi - the pitch to cv device is a step in that direction but I need something that will output to midi.
There isn't a way at the moment, the P2CV FleXor module outputs freq. signals, it basically replaces the MVC module in modular patches.
Anyway, you can learn to add it on every modular synth patch, if you don't care to keep the old preset list as is (when you load a new module in a patch that was absent when doing presets you'll get an error message when you load the patch saved with the same previous presets, you can ignore it though).
Considering that there are some really awesome synths made with the modular....
