when i move a window of a device in nuendo for example the device disappears at the time moved and appears again when i leave the mouse botton. this is ok for avoiding graphics movements.
it also happens in windows applications.
can it happen with scopes devices?
i see that when i am in the midle of a recording, if i move a scope mixer or synth without being very carefull the moved graphics will cause cracks.
what are the solutions?

You shouldn't get crackles - probably it's a problem with the motherboard.. never had those kind of problems here on several boards. Also try making Scope Low priority in Task Manager.

i've had this problem with an older pc, when working with large projects on a p3 cpu with 512m of ram and 32m of video ram.
On my new pc i don't have this kind of problem, i'm using 1.5 m of ram and 256m of video ram.

Or maybe an IRQ issue.

well thanks guys.
actually my ati has got 256mb ram
the drivers are new
i am not talking about serious situation.
it just happens once in a while when the project is heavy.
it whoudn't happen if the graphics could disappear at the time of moving.
lower hardware accelaration to my system does not help.
irq's ok.

the only thing i haven't tried is to set scope to lower priority.?????

which would be a good idea...
imho the 'Scope application' isn't much more than the graphic surface of the (kind of) 'remote controlling' software for the DSP card.

cheers, Tom

Actually I'm willing to bet its your PCI latency (assuming you're not sharing your gfxcard irq with some critical component). Run DoubleDawg and I'm willing to bet the ATI drivers are setting your gfxcard to 248 or higher...
