I don't have the Masterverb Pro, but I assume that it's 'more detailed' than the standard version, not a radically different sound character.
In that context I'd say the respective strenghts of the 2 programs vary.

A100 is unbeatable if you want to add 'space' to a sound (just as the label 'ambient' implies) without sacrificing the original quality of the source.
There's almost no artificial colouring at all

The MV pro is probably faster to just apply a good classical reverb effect and the fx color is appreciated as a part of the sound design.

For what it does the A100 is a bargain...

Hi,

I use P100 for vocal, masterver classic and masterb as Reverb fx, but I search a reverb for having all my tracks standing "naturally" in the mix.

Best regards

I just made a (rough) cross check with P100/A100 for a '10m room'. The P is kind of dull (for this task) while the A really breathes space. They complement nicely - but that was to be expected anyway...

cheers, Tom

thanks Astro

I'll have a try with A100. Just hope it will not be too much for my PCI.

on mine it is... a complete hog, but 2 Pulsar Ones can handle 5 masterverbs at best anyway.
For me it's quality justifies some restrictions, which are less apparent on generation two boards, but it will reveal any PCI flaws immediately. do not expect a ton of instances

How about the Sonic Timeworks 4080L reverb? Does anybody use it? It is much more expensive than the A-100 / MasterVerb, but probably a high class product.

Just being curious ...

No, I don't think at this point the 4080L is that good. It's buggy, too. I think you're better off with the newer reverbs (which I want to buy myself one day).
