yeah, i ALWAYS try to point people towards the bigger cards, they're a much better deal, software/dollar-wise as well....

arhcaidos voice-count depends a LOT on the used synth.

yes, i have noticed that some synths do not need much dsp power, but some do.
even more on 48khz.
with the 6dsp pulsar2 alone i couldn't easilly rase polyphony without being looking all the time the dsp meter. and it was almost impossible to listen to a wide 10 note 9th from
big synths

let's look at an example - a full blown Solaris :wink:
ingredients per voice:
20 oscillators
8 filters
4 LFOs
5 envelopes
