So the Pulsar has 2 ADAT I/O's. Now w/V-3 software, they can be used as SPDIF - Is this an 'either/or' or can one port be used for SPDIF and the other for ADAT? I would like 8 ADAT out from Pulsar to my digital mixer, and then everything from the mixer back to Pulsar via SPDIF to stay digital - will this work (don't wanna blow the cash on the cabling if it won't work)?

won't work. one setting per card, not per port.

But it will work if you use the coax S/PDIF instead of optical. There are adapters for such purposes...
