Thanx Bro,I'm going to add another card to my rig for xtra outs. The Scope Project Plus for the AES/EBU, and XLRs. That way I can get the mix and master plugs this time. I hope it works cause the Oberheim is erratic between patch changes. i.e. volume jumps, etc. That's why I want to go through the scope card, plus I love the way the XPander sounds through Celmo's Tape Sim. It is nice to mix the Oberheim with Bluewave, and Minimax, without disturbing the patch layer levels. Plus I could leave the Oberheim at max volume for that nice buzzy sound it gets when its cranked, and mix within Scope. Scope is the most beautiful thing since sliced bread.

Not sure if you thought the plugin I mentioned is in the Mix and Master pack, but it's actually by Sonic Timeworks - it's a 3rd party thing. You can buy them in a bundle or separately. They've been around a long time but they sound great.

if you just want to limit the output to be safety not to have digital over... The most easy way to do is insert plugins Softclip from scope and set output to -0.1

That's it..

Thank you gents. My FOH engineer explaineed to me that the CompressorX from Sonic Timeworkz is exactly what I need. It has the soft knee brickwall limiter with RMS option. Seems to modeled off the Avalon he uses. He's still not totally convinced of the soft approach of Scope/GS3, and uses my Oberheim as the prime example. But he says I have the best "hybrid sound" that he has ever mixed. I guess coming from him a back-handed compliment is better than nothing. It should set level not by ratio, but by db, or RMS. I will respond if my endeavor is sucessfull. Thanks again you guys. BTW, anyone know why forum is named PlanetZ? Sounds like a plug to me. No pun intended.

Semi success story. Compressor-X works as it should. I'm really having fun downloading new gear while I travel. The XPanders sound loses some of its character when its compressed, so I'm afraid I'll have to use a digital db meter to match and reduce patches to fit all my different mixes. I can't wait to have an all in the box set-up. The advantages are so time saving, and obvious.
