Ive been lurking these forums for 2 years now, but never really posted topics. So a hello to all! nice to be with a very supportive community.

Ive had a luna 2 and LOVE it, its crucial to my home studio. Ive been mastering with t-racks 24 for some time now, and have tried the L3 ultra by waves, but im not really happy with the results of either as i make dance/electronica. I KNOW i have way more potential with my creamware or uad-1 card. I recently bought the psy q and got the vinco a few months back and LOVE them to death. I have also been using har bal for the equalizing, but im not sure if thats a good thing either. SO my question is

should i get optimaster for the creamware card? or spend the extra money and get precision limiter and precision eq for the uad-1. Which sounds better to you, or which would you go for in the dance music situation? I appreciate the advice you can give me on this. Reading the optimaster description got me pretty excited, looks great....

I haven't compared Optimaster to the precision limiter/eq on the UAD, but I like it very much, definitely a good buy. It's a little glitchy (crashes if you reload it alot) but still plenty usable and worth it.

Optimaster kills, the 'Learn' funktion werks also terriffic
No pumping (if not wished), clear sound, easy to edit from the band's graphs, etc.
can't compare it tho

It rocks. Ours has always been rock solid & without prejudice, we totally love it. Wouldn't master much other than deliberately raw sample tracks without it. With a new or 2nd user Mix'n'master pack you'd get M/verb pro & PSY Q too

in fact there were demos (including Optimaster) once, but that was very long ago... They probably took them offline because the timeout check kind of failed

cheers, tom

you may email CWA with a pre buy request regarding a demo for a specfic device. Maybe ralf is able to give you a demo.
